One park. More than one good day out.
Park Tysiąclecia, or Millennium Park, lies in western Wrocław between Nowy Dwór and the AOW motorway bypass, beside the Ślęza river. It combines woodland, recreational space, the Średniowieczny Wrocław playground and the neighbouring Spartan sports complex. Pick an entrance to suit your walk, family outing or skating session. A first look around

With 60 minutes, stay in one part of the park. Leave time for a break and a return to your chosen entrance.
Returning the same way is the simplest option; there is no need to complete a loop.

A woodland breather
Start here: the Graniczna side
- Choose an entrance to Las Tysiąclecia on the Graniczna side.
- Follow an existing woodland path, adjusting the walk to your time and the ground.
- Return the same way. You do not need to cross the Ślęza.
Expect mud after rain. Keep a dog on a lead and away from children’s play.
A little big adventure
Start here: Grodecka → Średniowieczny Wrocław
- Approach the Średniowieczny Wrocław playground from Grodecka.
- Start with the fort and outer bailey; choose equipment for your child and follow the notices.
- If time allows, add a short walk by the ESK avenue and return on the same side.
Playing is part of your time budget. Do not allocate the whole visit to walking.
An active afternoon
Start here: Jaksonowicka 28
- Start at the Spartan complex in Nowy Dwór.
- Choose the free asphalt street-skating circuit or a covered-rink session from the operator’s schedule.
- Finish with a break or a short walk in the green space.
Training tracks are not park footpaths. Check sports sessions and fees separately.
What is worth stopping for?
Different parts suit different visits. Play and sport are in the recreational area; the woodland offers another kind of walk.
Średniowieczny Wrocław
A wooden play fort, slides, an outer bailey and a zip line make this a substantial playground. The city’s opening report confirms a tunnel, sandpit, swing and interactive wall in the extension. Further features shown in renderings are not treated as completed attractions. [2]
Meandry Czasu
Twelve landscape scenes tell stories of the city and region. They include Forum, Wilczy Dół and Prawieki. Sculptures and Lower Silesian rocks give the walk a historical theme. [5]
The ESK avenue
The European Capital of Culture avenue grew through community oak planting. Nearby clearings offer a change of scenery, while the avenue recalls Wrocław’s time as a European Capital of Culture. [1]
Las Tysiąclecia
The woodland on the left bank of the Ślęza suits a longer walk among trees. Keep to existing paths. We do not promise particular wildlife sightings or quiet along every section. [1]
Circuits and skating rink
Spartan distinguishes a free 600-metre asphalt street-skating circuit from a 200-metre blue speed circuit rented for training and competitions. The covered roller rink is a separate offer; the venue becomes an ice rink in winter. [4]
A picnic in the green
Bring a blanket, food and water. The city identifies designated barbecue areas in the park. An open clearing does not mean permission to light a fire anywhere; follow signs and current restrictions. [1]

There is no single street address for every visit. Navigate to your chosen destination rather than the stadium.
Google Maps shows the area and paths. The links open a search for each destination; check the pin and available approach before setting off.
With children · Grodecka
Approach the medieval playground from Strzegomska via Grodecka. The city gives approximately 350 metres from Strzegomska to the playground. [9]

Choose an entrance on the Graniczna side. Park only where signs permit. A shopping centre’s car park is subject to its own rules.

Look for the stop Park Tysiąclecia – Rolkowisko/Lodowisko. At verification, the official stop listing shows trams 13 and 23, buses 124 and 134, and night bus 249. Check direction, diversions and departure times before travelling. Walking from the stop to the playground is a separate part of the outing. [3]
A thousand years of the city, told in green.
The name refers to Wrocław’s millennium, celebrated in 2000. The design brings local history into the landscape of the Ślęza valley. The river separates the woodland and recreational parts: choose a specific side before you go, rather than relying only on a pin bearing the park’s name. [5]
How big is it? The city guide gives 75 hectares; an earlier city article describes about 80 hectares. We cite both instead of presenting the difference as a precise measurement or claiming a “largest park” ranking. [1] [5]

Is Millennium Park next to the stadium?
Do not route your visit through the stadium. The park is by Nowy Dwór and Muchobór Wielki on the Ślęza. Useful destinations are Grodecka, Graniczna and Spartan at Jaksonowicka 28.
Is there a playground?
Yes. Średniowieczny Wrocław has a play fort, an outer bailey and play equipment. It is a major reason to bring children.
Is entry free?
Walking in the park is free. Separate fees and schedules can apply to the roller rink, ice rink, rentals and sports classes.
Where can I park?
For sport, check the parking at Jaksonowicka 28, confirmed by Spartan. For other visits, find permitted parking by your chosen entrance. Availability, prices and use of private car parks are not guaranteed.
Are there toilets?
The city lists portable toilets in the park. Check their position, condition and availability on site. We do not confirm a permanent toilet open around the clock.
Can I skate everywhere in the park?
No. Surfaces vary. Use the dedicated Spartan facilities; the free asphalt circuit is 600 metres long, while the blue training circuit has separate rules.
Can I have a barbecue?
The city describes designated barbecue spots. Use those areas, follow notices and current restrictions, and do not light fires on arbitrary clearings.
Does the stamp-collecting trail still operate?
The city announcement in 2024 described a summer and autumn campaign. We have not confirmed continuous availability of stamps and rewards, so these are not part of the visit plans. [10]
When is a good time to visit?
Choose daylight and suitable weather for your first visit. Allow for sun on open clearings in summer, shorter days in autumn and winter, and softer ground after rain.
