The Multimedia Fountain in Wrocław is one of the most impressive and modern water shows in Europe. It sits right next to the Centennial Hall and the Pergola and pulls in tourists from all over with light, sound, and moving water. The seasonal evening shows are basically a must if you’re in Wrocław — doesn’t matter your age, time of day, or even the weather. With music ranging from classical to film soundtracks and even electronic, the fountain turns into a full-on stage with эмоции and a bit of tech magic.

The Multimedia Fountain in Wrocław is the largest fountain of this type in Poland.

Wro TU!
The fountain is located next to the Centennial Hall, in the Pergola area, and covers 1 hectare with more than 300 water jets, LED lighting, and laser projectors. Opened in 2009, it runs seasonally from May to October. The shows combine water, sound, light, and animations into pretty spectacular performances. Hundreds of thousands of people come here every year — both locals and tourists from all over.

Shows run every day, but the best ones are in the evening on weekends.

Wro TU!
During the day and in the evening, the fountain runs on a seasonal schedule published by the Centennial Hall. In 2026, daytime and evening shows happen at fixed times, and on certain days there are special programs. So it’s better to check the current schedule online before you go, especially if you want a specific show.

Entry to all shows is completely free.

Wro TU!
No tickets, no registration — just show up on time and find a spot. The shows are funded by the city of Wrocław and cultural institutions. Free entry doesn’t mean lower quality — this is one of the best multimedia shows in Poland. It’s better to come at least 30 minutes early, especially on weekends and holidays.

The shows are made for different music tastes and ages.

Wro TU!
You’ll hear music by Hans Zimmer, Richard Wagner, Ludwig van Beethoven, Georges Bizet, as well as more modern stuff like Daft Punk or Bonobo.
Special shows sometimes include themed programs like “Pixar: Summer of Friendship.”

The fountain tech is a high-level water and light system.

Wro TU!
The setup uses 300 water jets, 800 LED points, 3 laser projectors, and a surround sound system. Everything is digitally controlled and synced with the music. The fountain still runs in light rain, but shows get canceled during heavy storms. There’s a dedicated technical team from the Centennial Hall managing the system.

Evening shows draw the biggest crowds — worth keeping that in mind.

Wro TU!
There are no numbered seats or stands — people just gather around the fountain basin or sit on the Pergola steps. The best view is from the west side, facing the Centennial Hall. Bring a blanket or something to sit on, since the show can go over 20 minutes. On weekends it gets pretty packed, but the space is organized well enough.

Out of season, the fountain doesn’t run, but the place is still worth it.

Wro TU!
From October to the end of April there are no shows — the system is off. But the Pergola still looks good, especially in autumn and winter. Nearby you’ve got the Japanese Garden, the zoo, and the Centennial Hall Discovery Center. Even without a show, it’s one of the more photogenic spots in Wrocław.

The easiest way to get there is by tram or bike.

Wro TU!
From the city center, you can take direct trams 2, 4, and 10, as well as buses 145 and 146 (stop “Hala Stulecia”). By bike, you can ride over Grunwaldzki Bridge and through Szczytnicki Park — the whole trip takes around 20 minutes. Taking a car isn’t the best idea because parking is limited. The nearest parking is on Wróblewskiego Street, around 5 PLN per hour.

The fountain show is a solid option for families with kids.

Wro TU!
The shows are safe, outdoors, and don’t need any prep. Thanks to the visuals, kids stay engaged the whole time. Music and lights keep it interesting for adults too. In the 2026 season, there are special programs like “Pixar: Summer of Friendship,” which can be especially fun for kids.

There are a few places nearby that are easy to combine with the show.

Wro TU!
Right next to it, you can visit the Japanese Garden (open until 18:00), Wrocław Zoo, the Centennial Hall (with exhibitions), and the Four Domes Pavilion — a modern art museum. The Pergola also hosts extra events: concerts, picnics, exhibitions. Spending an evening around the fountain is a pretty solid way to hang out in this part of the city.

For the show, it’s better to bring a blanket, drinks, and… a camera.

Wro TU!
There are food trucks and vending machines on site, but it’s easier to have your own stuff — both to sit and to drink. The shows are very photogenic — a decent camera or a phone with night mode will do the job. In summer, bring mosquito repellent. If you’re with kids, you can even do a small picnic — bringing your own food in the park isn’t a problem.
Location and accessibility. The fountain is in a very удобное spot — right next to the Centennial Hall, with easy access by public transport, bike, and on foot. Nearby you’ve got other spots (zoo, Japanese Garden, Pergola), so it’s easy to fit into a bigger route.
10
Multimedia show quality. The shows are done properly: tight sync between sound, light, and water. The program is varied and updated regularly. Compared to similar places in Europe, it реально stands out.
9
Price (free access). The shows are completely free — no tickets, no registration. Big plus — solid level without paying.
10
On-site viewing comfort. No seating, and you need to come early — not always удобное, especially for older people or with kids. On busy days it gets crowded.
7
Seasonality and year-round access. The fountain runs only from May to October, зимой it’s completely off. During that time, the place loses part of its point.
6
Photogenic factor and visuals. Light + water + evening — perfect setup for photos and video. One of the most “Instagrammable” spots in Wrocław.
9
For different ages. Kids, teens, adults — everyone’s into it. Thanks to different music and programs, it works for pretty much anyone and doesn’t get boring.
9
Sound and audio. Sound is generally fine, but with big crowds it can get lost or harder to hear from further spots.
8
Special shows and themes. Throughout the season there are different special shows (holidays, festivals, etc.), so the fountain feels “alive,” not stuck on the same thing.
9
Food and infrastructure. There are food trucks and toilets nearby, but when it’s crowded, lines show up. This isn’t full-scale event-level infrastructure.

The Wrocław Multimedia Fountain is one of the most well-thought-out free city attractions in Poland. Location, show quality, and open access make it a must-stop in Wrocław. Downsides — сезонность and no seating — but overall it barely affects the experience.
The shows are free and open to everyone. It’s one of the few places at this level where you don’t need a ticket. High quality at zero price — pretty rare even by European standards.
Location right in the tourist zone. The fountain sits next to the Centennial Hall and the Pergola, with Szczytnicki Park, the Japanese Garden, and the zoo nearby — you can easily combine a few spots in one go.
High level of multimedia effects. The sync between water, light, lasers, and music is done really clean. Everything is digitally controlled, and the programs change — it’s not just the same loop over and over.
Works for different ages. Kids, teens, adults — everyone watches with the same interest. The music range helps — from classical to pop and film stuff.
Easy access by public transport. Trams and buses stop almost right next to the fountain. Convenient both for tourists and locals — no traffic, no parking hassle.
Limited season. The fountain runs only from May to October. In winter and early spring it’s completely off, and there’s nothing instead of it.
No seating and no reservations. People just grab spots themselves — no benches, no chairs. You need to come early and often stand for a while.
Crowds on weekends and special shows. In season, the area fills up fast. It can get uncomfortable, especially with kids or for older people.
Weather can mess it up. During rain or storms, shows may get canceled. Info about this doesn’t always show up right away, so sometimes plans fall apart.
Weak infrastructure. There are food trucks and toilets, but with big crowds, lines appear. No shelters or proper event-level infrastructure here.
