Wrocław City Bike (WRM) is the public bike-sharing system in Wrocław. Bikes can be rented from one of the city’s docking stations using a mobile app or a user account in the Nextbike system. The system operates seasonally and allows quick travel between districts and the main attractions of the city.
How Wrocław City Bike works
Wrocław City Bike (WRM) operates through a network of bike stations located in different parts of the city. The bikes are parked in dedicated racks, and renting one simply requires unlocking it in the mobile app.
The user takes a bike from one station, rides to the desired location, and returns it at any other station in the system. There is no need to return to the starting point.
Each bike has an electronic lock. When the rental begins, the lock is released and the ride time counter starts in the system. After finishing the ride, the bike must be locked again at a WRM station rack – at that moment the system automatically ends the rental.
The entire process – from unlocking the bike to returning it – is managed through the user’s account in the city bike system.
How to rent a bike in Wrocław step by step
- Registration. First you need to create an account in the city bike system. Registration can be completed in the mobile app (Google Play | App Store) or on the system website. You will need to provide your phone number and basic user information.
- The app. After logging in, the app shows a map of bike stations in Wrocław and the number of bikes currently available at each station.

- Scan the QR code. At the selected bike, scan the QR code placed on the frame. The system will automatically unlock the bike and start the rental.
- Return the bike. After finishing the ride, attach the bike to a rack at any WRM station. Once the lock is closed, the system automatically ends the rental.
How much Wrocław City Bike (WRM) costs
The cost of using Wrocław City Bike depends on the ride time and the type of bike. In most cases users choose a standard bike, so these rates are the most important.
| Ride time – standard bike | Fee |
|---|---|
| 1–20 minutes | 0 PLN |
| 21–60 minutes | 3 PLN |
| each additional started hour | 6 PLN |
This means that short trips around the city are often free if they last less than 20 minutes.
E-bike
Electric bikes are also available in the WRM system. In this case the fee is charged per minute of riding.
- 0.59 PLN for each started minute of riding
Important rules
- fees from subsequent time brackets accumulate
- if the rental exceeds 12 hours, a fee of 300 PLN is charged
- leaving a bike outside a WRM station results in an additional fee
Can tourists use WRM
