Wrocław Summer Classics 2026 continues with a series of six concerts in August.
From 4 to 28 August, the historic Oratorium Marianum at the
University of Wrocław will host musical evenings ranging from
Vivaldi and Brahms to French and Italian songs, tango,
contemporary music from Wrocław and operetta.

The programme includes intimate chamber concerts for classical
music enthusiasts as well as accessible formats for first-time
concertgoers. Vivaldi’s “The Four Seasons”, for example, will be
accompanied by a projection of 400 paintings, while Tango Cinema
will bring together melodies from Buenos Aires and Hollywood.

All August concerts begin at 19:00 and take
place at Oratorium Marianum, pl. Uniwersytecki 1,
Wrocław
. Tickets cost
PLN 50, 60, 80 or 100.
According to the organiser, the code IK10

Z Paryża do Neapolu — From Paris to Naples

The August programme opens with a gala of French and Italian
songs. The concert will take listeners from the atmosphere
of Parisian boulevards to the warmth of Naples, combining
lyrical French songs with expressive Italian canzoni.

Performers: Grażyna Komincz, Elżbieta Cabała
and Rafał Żurakowski — vocals; Tomasz Kaczmarek — piano.
The concert will be hosted by Bartosz Żurakowski.

Vivaldi Impressions — The Four Seasons and 400 Paintings

One of the best-known works of the Baroque era will be
presented in a multimedia format. Antonio Vivaldi’s
“The Four Seasons” will be accompanied by 400 works
of art projected onto a large screen.

Performers: Marcin Ostrowski — violin,
with the University Philharmonic Soloists
(Zespół Solistów Filharmonii Uniwersyteckiej).

Chamber Music Gems — Salon u Brahmsa

This chamber evening is devoted to the music of Johannes Brahms.
The small ensemble allows listeners to follow the dialogue
between the instruments in detail, while the historic interior
of Oratorium Marianum complements the Romantic repertoire.

Programme: Trio in E-flat major, Op. 40,
for horn, violin and piano, and Sonata in G major, Op. 78,
for violin and piano.

Tango Cinema — A Night Full of Passion

This concert brings together the tango tradition of Buenos Aires
and melodies familiar from the cinema. It is one of the most
immediately accessible and emotionally charged evenings
in the festival programme, centred on the sound of the violin.

Performers: Wiktor Kuźniecow Jr. — violin,
with the University Philharmonic Soloists.
The programme features celebrated tangos from Buenos Aires
and Hollywood.

Double Concerto Night — Music of Wrocław

This concert stands out for its local focus. Two works
by Wrocław composer Wiesław Małuch will be performed
in one evening, with the leading role passing from
the violin to the piano.

Programme: “Wrocław Triptych”
(Tryptyk Wrocławski) and Piano Concerto No. 1
by Wiesław Małuch.

Performers: Anastasia Bouria — piano,
Wiktoria Białostocka — violin, and Alba Music Ensemble.

Cudowny Świat Operetki — The Wonderful World of Operetta

The August programme concludes with a gala of well-known
operetta arias and duets. The soprano and tenor parts
will be accompanied by piano and violin.

Performers: Monika Gruszczyńska — soprano,
Rafał Majzner — tenor, Natalia Czekanowska — piano,
and Karolina Cel — violin. The line-up features artists
who perform on Polish and international stages.

📍 Where is Oratorium Marianum and how do you get there?

Oratorium Marianum is located inside the University of Wrocław’s
main building at pl. Uniwersytecki 1,
in the historic city centre. It is one of the university’s
ceremonial rooms and also forms part of the Museum
of the University of Wrocław.

The nearest public transport stop is called
Uniwersytet. Parking in the city centre
is limited, so arriving by tram or bus is usually easier.
Use the Polish spelling of the address when checking a route.
It is sensible to arrive around 15–20 minutes before the concert.
